The red and corals of the red carpet -

Sarah Hyland - Need I say more?

Kate Winslet - Always a class act!

Adrienne Palicki - Keeping up with the fall 2011 trends of high slits!

Angela Kinsey - Middle aged woman classy!

Lea Michele - Graduated from high school look!

Nina Dobrev - Haute Couture

Connie Britton

Pink and Neutrals of the night -

Rachel Taylor

Jayma Mays

Rashida Jones

Browns and Mustards - As per my previous blog, this is Fall 2011 color of choice!

Kirsten Wigg

Padma Lakshmi

The Show Stoppers of the NIGHT -

Sofia Vergera - Always a goddess, but one of the best outfits I have seen her in!  A real summer color that was hit this season, but the elegance and material say it all!  A total hit - personality a plus!

Kelly Osbourn - A total surprise, but in the last few years, she really has turned her life and wardrobe around!  Sheer class and elegance, and really shows how she has matured over the years in the life, in her taste for fashion and above all, her choices!

Heidi Klum - Modern, young, trendy and most important - so chic!  Loved it!  Definitely last model standing!!

Maria Bello - One of the pleasant surprises of the night!  Think Jennifer Anniston on the red carpet with Brad Pitt 2004!  (Google it if this image was not permanently etched in your brain!)  Grecian Goddess!  This comes closest to that look!!

Juliana Margulie - Can't describe what she was wearing, but was really eye catching.  Modern, contemporary and clean lines!  Unique, different and class of its own!

Anna Faris - Not usually on the top best dressed list but she really did it this time!  Keeping up with the fall trend of right angles and straight lines as well as gold bronze colors, her dress looked magnificient!

And as always..There is always the few misses and "what were they thinking"????

Paz De La Huerta - Looks like she lost the battle with the bear!  Messed up her hair and makeup but also took away part of her dress!

Taraji P Henson - She has usually been on the best dressed list, but this time, not so much!  Lingerie should be saved for the bedroom!

Elizabeth Moss - Moss should only be in your last name.  Not creeping up your arms and neck!

Kerry Washington - Dancing with the stars already announced their new line up!

Gwenyth Paltrow - Lately, all she has been trying to do is show her mid riff and silloheutte!  While she looks great, the clothes' choices not flattering at all!

Jane Krakowski - It pains me to put her in this list!  She always has flawless hair, makeup and the best fashion forward choices.  But tonight, the sheen of the white dress, the fake Snooki tan, the bleached hair - None of it was working for her!

Olivia Munn - Again, lingerie should be saved for the bedroom!

Amy Poehler - Mars called!  They are missing their queen! Really, the spandex look, not evening chic at all!

FASHION TRENDS REPORT FALL 2011 and 10 KEY PIECES TO OWN

Hello fashion world and my fellow fashionistas!!  It feels good to be back.  I was on a little hiatus for 6 months from all my fashion duties and my fashion blog due to a very important and valuable reason.  We added a little fashionista to our family and she now has taken over the ‘diva’ title of the home!  But now that the dust has settled and she is looking to her mommy for all the fashion advice, let’s get back to fashion! (after I take a moment to wipe off the spit up from my haute couture dress).
I figured I needed to start off with a bang and not deal with just one aspect of fashion, but a blog that encompasses a lot more like an entire season?  An entire season like FALL 2011.  One of the biggest questions I have been getting asked is what the trends are for Fall 2011 and what is the ‘in’ thing to wear?  What are the key designs and what are the trends on the runway?  But most importantly, what pieces should I own that spell F-A-L-L?  Well, you are in the right place to get all the answers….
FASHION TRENDS REPORT FALL 2011 and 10 KEY PIECES TO OWN
1.  Nudes and Mustard colors
Year after year, brown has been the go to color for fall.  Not this year.  This year it is the year of the camel – camel color that is, as well as nudes, rust and light browns.  Of course if you already own a pair of the coveted brown boots from the last few sessions, then this camel/mustard color pairs perfectly!

My Picks
National Jean Company embroidered neckline dress - $88

ASOS Curve Fit and Flare dress - $64.03

If you are bold and are not afraid of color, mustard and camel colored clothes pair perfectly with purple!  Yes, I said that right – purple!  Purple shoes, bags and accessories! The light brown hues bring out the purple and contrast gives it depth..
Forever 21 mod high neck dress - $22.80

2.   Cozy Sweaters
Fall is the perfect time to pull out the sweaters, but this year the trend is for loose, oversized yet cozy sweaters.

My Picks – DVF – Ahiga knit top $ 345

Ellen Fisher Oversize cowl neck sweater - $69

3.  Polka Dots
One of my Favorite trends of the season!  It reminds me of the 70’s era!  Polka dots are so chic yet playful!  Polka dots seamlessly transition from office wear to cocktail wear whether it’s  a dress, top or even skirts.
My Picks
White House Black Market – White dress with black polka dots

Black dress with white polka dots – William Pearson $69

Lauren Conrad polka dot dress for Kohls - $51

4.  Bright colored pants
Blacks and grays are always my go to color and somehow, that is the only two colors you can see in my closet.  However in the last 3 seasions, I have ventured more out towards color and I hate to admit it – but I kind of like it (just a little).  Seen on the likes of LeAnn Rimes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cheryl Cole and Cameron Diaz, bright colored pants are a fresh way to brighten up that fall closet and office wear.

My picks
Not your daughter’s jeans - $104

Macys – INC High Waist pants in various colors - $79.50
5.  Right Angle and straight lines
Gives a clean design with that standout factor.

My Picks
INC Sweater dress color block - $99.50

INC  geometric print dress – 79.50
