What to wear (and not to wear) for Thanksgiving dinners!

We spend days planning the Thanksgiving meal and slave for hours over the food, stuffing, dessert and even sides!  But how much time do we really spend thinking about what we are going to wear?  That should be a on the forefront especially if you are not the host, but a guest at a Thanksgiving dinner.  Making an impression not only matters on your table manners, ability to ward off an argument with that annoying relative, but also on your outfit choice.  Are you visiting "HIS" family for the first time?  Is this your first meal as husband and wife?  Are you trying to impress "that" mother in law?  Fret not!  I have ideas for ALL!

3.  THE COWORKER/BOSS'S HOUSE (since your family is too far)
Maintain the professional look, yet you can relax at times look - Sheath dress with Fitted cardigan

+ Cardigan from above choices.  You can take of cardigan as the evening progresses, but still maintain the professional look!

Try to maintain Neutral colors for this look (browns, grays or navy blue)

Sheath dress ($71.99) Bloomingdales.com

Thanksgiving dinners are not meant to be flashy parties and dinner affairs so keep the accessories and bling on a down low.  Small stud/pearl earrings are a great addition to the above looks, but steer away from big necklaces, and large bracelets or cocktail rings!
Happy eating and enjoy your look!
